I'm fairly mellow to start with - but man this beats working. The idea is see, that if you enjoy what you are doing, and don't stress about money, eventually satisfaction and income will arrive. I enjoy sitting on the grass and strumming my guitar. Though I don't think anyone will pay me to do this - I'm sure a money-making epiphany will come to me soon. In the meantime, I think I'll have a beer.

We are back in the US. I'm feeling very relaxed and getting some substantial beard growth. First impressions: Many more beverage choices. Slightly more run-down feeling than I remember. American accents don't sound pleasant to my ears. We spent a couple days in LA. The above photo is from the pier on Manhattan Beach. We had some fantastic Mexican food from our favorite Fish Taco Restaurant (Rubio's) and recuperated from the grueling 15 hour trip.

I can't recommend Air New Zealand for long haul trips. They were very disorgansized and had lots of gate stuff-ups. The vegetarian menu was bad and the seats in "Pacific Class" (read "cattle") were cramped. But we survived and it was good to relax in LA for a couple of days.
